2006 2007

Hostel Day and Christmas Day

The Christmas Day celebrations were held on 22nd December 2006 at 2pm at MTC campus. the programme started with the prayer of Mrs.Jasmine,(teaching staff,Lab.Tech.)

Mr. Chandrasekaran (Correspondent) delivered the welcome address. Mrs.J.Josephine Jeya priya, Mrs.S.Mary (teaching staff, MTC) and Ms.S.Mary(student) read bible readings regarding the birth of Jesus Christ. Mrs.Lalitha Nelson(Principal,MTC) gave a speech about MTC.

Br.M.S.B.deva balasing, Jehova, Jirah ministries delievered the christmas message. The MTC choir sang a special songs about the birth of Jesus Christ. Mr. Baskaran (Co-ordinator,MTC) proposed a vote of thanks followed by a classical dance by Ms.Florance (2006 Batch-2years nursing)

The function came to an end with the prayer of Br.Antony Titus, O.M. ministeries.

2005 2006

Women's Day Rally

The Mother Teresa Women's University organised a human chain in view of International Women's Day on 31st March 2006 in front of the off campus building at byepass, Madurai.

Our Mother Teresa Centre's 2005-2006(1year), 2005-2007 (2years) Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology students was participated in the rally and raised slogan insissing about the importance of women role in the society.

Physiotherapy Camp

Mother Teresa Centre's 2005-2007 Batch Physiotherapy students participated in the free physiotherapy Camp at Thanichiyam, Madurai. The camp was organised by JK mass foundation, Madurai on 8th January 2006.

This cas specially organised for the padayatra devotees went to palani to worship god. MTC students rendered ther service to the devotees about how to protect their legs during the padayatra.

Hostel Day and Christmas Day

The Mother Teresa Centre's hostel day celebrations were held on 20th December 2006 at 6pm in the premicesof MTC. The celebration begin with the student Ms.S.Rani's(2005-2007 nursing) paryer Ms.K.Kousalya, student nursing, welcomed the gathering, Ms.W.Jothi the warden of the hostel placed a report about the functioning of the hostel.

The Corespondent Mr. Chandrasekaran falicitate the function. Pastor,V.Asirvatham delivered the christmas and hostel day's messages. Mrs. Lalitha Nelson, Principal MTC cut the christmas cake. Followed Cultural Programmes of the students. Mr.J.Baskaran, Co-ordinator Mtc distributed the prizes for the students. Ms.A.Keren Lab.technician student proposed a vote of thanks. The function came to an end with the closing prayer of Ms.R.Revathi, nursing student

2004 2005

During the year under review the following Medical Camps and welfare activities were taken place:

•  Camps on Environmental Awareness

Welfare Activities

  1. Free Books to the tune of Rs. 96509 to the poor and deserved students of our Institution.

  2. Free Uniforms to the tune of Rs. 59013 to the poor and deserved students of our Institution.

  3. Free Books to eligible poor students.

2003 2004

Certain medical camps falling in line with above were organized by the Trust along with Menakshi Mission Hospitals Madurai.

The above said educational institution engaged in more welfare activities to accommodate more students and providing employment opportunities in the local area of operation. More avenues were sought for by the institute to help the needy people.

The Mother Teresa Birthday was celebrated on 27th August 2003. The function started with the prayer by the Correspondent Mr.S.Chandrasekaran, Mrs.Chandra(Managing Trustee,HOPE trust) presided over the function, Mrs.Lalitha Nelson(Principal)welcomed the gathering and gave a speech about MTC. Mr.Muthamarai felicitated the function, followed by the cultural events by the students. Mr.Baskaran(co-ordinator,MTC) offered vote of thanks. The function is came to an end with the closing prayer of Ms.Vijayalakshmi(student nursing-2003).
